Plexiglas^® Granite Acrylic Resins

Plexiglas^® Granite acrylic resin gives designers the freedom to duplicate the beauty of natural granite without the disadvantages of real stone. A multi-layer extruded sheet featuring Plexiglas^® Granite can be textured, rough, pebbled, or smooth (in either matte or high gloss), and can be manufactured to be semi-translucent or fully opaque. Unlike naturally occurring granite, Plexiglas^® Granite acrylic resin is non-porous, so it does not require periodic sealing to prevent mold and mildew growth.

The design flexibility, and inherent physical properties of a multi-layer Plexiglas^® Granite system make it an ideal material system for applications such as:

• Spa / Hot Tub shells
• Sanitary Tub, and Shower Surrounds
• Marine thermoformed trim pieces
• Pool Steps or Slides

In addition to it’s unique appearance, Plexiglas^® Granite resins provide substantial improvements in toughness, chemical resistance and scratch resistance relative to traditional acrylic resins. The excellent weatherability characteristics of acrylic are maintained for long-term appearance retention in severe indoor, or outdoor exposure conditions.
